Hi chethan Iam really passionate about Product Design. But I am lagging in my skills. If I take your course from learn product design platform and give my next 4 to 6 months time to practice as what you mentioned there. Can I become a great Designer.
Yes
I am naturaly not creative. I can exactly recreate existing designs. When I try to create new one I'm lagging. But I really love this profession more than money. I heard designers are really creative. This profession suits for me? Can you share your thoughts.
@ananths9675 Don’t overthink it. Most product designers have a successful career because they are great thinkers and problem solvers and excellent at observing patterns. Not because they are creative.
I don't have a credit card. So i can't use Cred Money. But I want to this app for my learning purpose atleast want to see the screen. Is it possible to do this in any way?
Not sure if you need a credit card to use Cred anymore
@@DesignPilot I tried to use the app but I couldn't. I mean if have a subscription of Netflix then only we can access the app. Sometimes some apps don't have access in India. Like this scenario how can we see the screens. Any suggestions?
We can use mobbin. But I don't have subscription🙂
@ananths8968 No idea then
its only for august of same year...only 4 days... not the whole year 20:15, as in left screen, "1 July - 31 July" of same year then "1 Aug - 4 Aug". Little misunderstanding
No. I selected August 1 of 2023 as the start date
you’re literally my comfort person i love you kislux !
can you make for me please? VALO KING
Hey @DesignPilot, you should check out Mojek Money to compare vs CRED. The tagging and categorization is far far better. The categories are far more robust and accurate (at least for my accounts). Has the Credit Card tracking, also directly connects to investment brokers, which means deeper insights. They've got bunch of other budgeting features etc making it super useful. Design is also super simple too
Would love to see you talking more about how to identify gaps in your skillset and act on them?
Can you elaborate on what exactly you’re struggling with
@@DesignPilot I have a solid grasp of UX and have improved my visual/UI design skills. I'm now focused on building strong product skills, but I find it challenging to determine what to prioritize and how to create an effective learning plan, as the abundance of information online feels overwhelming and disjointed.
@@DesignPilot Also one more thing if you can guide me on I'm a junior product designer at a leading fintech company in India, with 4 months in my first full-time role. However within a few weeks of joining, I found out the company isn't design-driven, The people here are but the company isn't. I'm working on decent projects, managing end-to-end responsibilities, taking design decisions, and handling stakeholders independently which I have not done before. Should I stick with this company or seek opportunities in a more design-focused environment? Thank you for your quick response.
@preetiwadhera123 There comes a point where beyond which you can’t really learn on your own. You have to get into a decent product company to really learn product skills
@@DesignPilot Got it, Thank for your guidance. I have posted one more comment would appreciate your guidance.
Bro in assignments, do they give design element resources? Are we supposed to design an experience of an app available in playstores from scratch? Coz imo majority of us can't design everything from scratch in just 2 days
Depends on the assignment.

Hello 👋 Chetan @DesignPilot, I am feeling fearful 😨 😨 now. Am I wasting my time? Will I not regret it in the future if I try to make a career in the field I am doing now? And what should I do now, I have just started learning about UI/UX Design for 2-3 months. I am writing this to you as my elder brother. this video was incredibly insightful! As a beginner in UI/UX design, I found your breakdown of the impacts of Figma AI on the industry both eye-opening and motivating. It’s fascinating (and a bit daunting!) to see how AI is changing the landscape, but I appreciate your emphasis on the importance of creativity, critical thinking, and articulation. This gives me a clear idea of where to focus my efforts as I continue learning. Thank you for providing such valuable context looking forward to more content like this!
The first thing to ask yourself is why do you want to be a product designer. Be honest with yourself. Don’t bullshit yourself. If you’re not here for the right reasons, you need to rethink your career plan very quickly. Ask yourself if your personal life allows you to work very hard, does it give you the freedom and time you need to be dedicated? Ask yourself if you really are motivated and excited and interested in learning? If not, do you know how to get that motivation. They say it’s better to stay single for the rest of your life than to get married to the wrong person. Similarly if you don’t know why you want to be a product designer and you think you’ll try and make it work, you’re undertaking a mega risk.
@@DesignPilot First of all, I appreciate the time that you spent on this comment and your genuine reply. I have got a lot of courage from your reply. And I have got a strong reason and whatever I do in future will help me a lot. so, Thank you so much Chetan bhai. I worked on that, I thought 1 or 2 hours and Finally, I got near to the solution that I have Time, Freedom, and my parents' Support to Do What I want to Do. I ask myself 1 Question Repeatedly and that is " Why did I Choose to Become a UI/UX Designer " and I got my answer Every Time that is " I don't have options." I completed my Grad on BCA 5 years ago. after that, I found Jobs in Different Fields instead of devs and design. I have heard about UI/UX from Social media and RUclips since last year. This Year I Started Looking for Career Opportunities in this field. During This time I realized I have been a creative person since childhood and I don't want to do work beyond technology, Apps, the Web, or AI, So finally I've decided to do whatever it takes.

Cred's users are individuals who own credit cards and actively seek to manage their credit card bills efficiently. They use the Cred app to pay their bills on time to avoid penalties and to earn rewards through the platform. Avoiding Penalties,Earning Rewards,Credit Score Improvement are few of the goals that fit the user persona of an Active cred user. For AirBnb : Feature KPI: User engagement with the top 1% listings or feature adoption rate. Primary KPI: Improvement in booking conversion rate. Secondary KPI: Reduction in booking abandonment rate or improved user satisfaction scores.

Amazing Tutorial looking forward more learning thank you so much making videos
It's really interesting that you pointed out the Design consistency in the Cred app (Even which is a superior designed product).
There is no best app in the world. Every app has flaws
Thank you so much chetan it is really helpful but i have a one doubt please clarify me - first u have defined user persona and user story and did some reverse engineering to come up with current behavior and pain point but is it the right way to do it? I thought ideally we should define current behavior and pain points first which is come from user interview ( ideally user interview is not needed for here as it is whiteboarding round) and then only we should define the user persona and user story on the basis of current behavior and pain point. What is the thought process over here on the process you have followed or it is not matter at all in the real world projects what is your opinion chetan.
Good question. Essentially when you do a user interview you do both user stories and pain points together. User has problem ABC when doing action XYZ. Or they want to do action XYZ but they can’t do it as there is no solution that exists. I like to list down all the actions the users wants to do and then understand where and why a user faces a problem. If you start with pain points, you will end up understanding the actions the users are doing anyway. This is the reason I don’t follow theories and processes even though they may be right, because they are based on common sense and logic. They are just packaged with fancy terms and overhyped.
@@DesignPilot Now it is understood and makes sense , thank u so much Chetan .
Outgoing transactions can either be investment or spend. But without knowing outgoing transaction's nature, if app put it under any one of it then there are chances of it being wrong and further it will show wrong investement and spend value. But in case of incoming every transaction that is credited can only be termed as incoming. So showing untagged transaction in case of outgoing one becomes important.

21:10 there are 2 types of outgoing transactions.. either you invest or you spend. For incoming, it's straight forward as there is only 1. Refunds and failed transactions are not considered here.
Probably
@@DesignPilot DON'T PROBABLY BRO, FIX IT
Refund/Failed trxn should also be counted in credit as it already gets included in spends. If not, it's like magic money you already spend but can spend again and again and again and your expense will show inflated numbers while balance show deflated values.
@mohitpawar3760 The expense is also easy inflated either way. If there are 10 transactions that failed, there are already 10 debits. Having 10 credits doesn’t reduce the value of total expenses anyway.
Great video! Is there a way in which we can have multiple font weights under the same text style? I have a label large style with both regular and medium weights used in different parts of the app so currently I am making a third level i.e label/large/thick and label/large/thin. Even with variables I would have to do the same in the typography tokens right? Or is there a way to reduce the no. of token? Thanks!
Essentially you should not have to touch anything in the font properties once a style has been created with the appropriate tokens. If you have 2 weights for the same font size, then it needs to be 2 different text styles.
@@DesignPilot Got it. Thanks!
hello from your new subscriber!!!.. thanks for breaking it down.. very valuable and insightful😄
Insightful video 👏 I was wondering if it might be unnecessary to display the HDFC filter button below each "transaction" section when a user has only a single card linked to the app. Since the card is already mentioned above, could we consider moving the pulse icon next to the title instead? Additionally, do we need to show the HDFC icon on every transaction if all of them are made with the same card? It seems like it might not be necessary. What are your thoughts on this?
Which screen are you talking about?
@@DesignPilot Home Screen of Cred Money
Yeah, it can be removed. It’s not really necessary.
